I turn the key and nothing happens, warning lights come on as normal and a brief engine noise but then nothing. Whats going on?

checked the battery, little indicator says its green.

Has just had MOT done, wtf is happening?!

New spark plug maybe?

Mate, will definately be the battery! When it was off the road for months I had to jump start the car as it wouldn't start, (same problem that you describe)

Get some jump leads on and it should start. Battery probably running a bit low cos it hasn't been used much.

if it ticks a couple of times its either ur battery or starter motor. try and put it in gear and then sorta hold on the front cross member bit and pull it back and forwards a few times and then try and start it (take outa gear first )

okay peeps, been charging up for around 20minutes with one of those Halfords batt chargers and got the motor running. It almost dies a death though when i rev it... guess i need to charge some more.

Thing is, i dont have a voltmeter, so i cant tell when the battery is fully charged... the bloke at halfords said i need to stop every hour or so to let the charger cool down.

any thoughts?

if the car wont start tomorow after being left overnight
either the alternator is buggerd, the batterey is gone "wont hold a charge" or the is somthing wired up wrong and is draining the batterey
