my corsa is a year 2000 and i am having problems with the car. its making a ticking sound as the engine is going. the revs struggle and when i switch off engine, the car literally stalls. it wants to kepp goin. what shall i do? what is it? nobody knows?
some people say its the cylinders. one has gone so its causing the problem.but they aren't sure, too big job if it isnt.

right first of all you have a 1 litre engine and they are sh*te. my 1litre taps moans and growns all the time. my mechanic told me there are crap design because all the components are so small they wear out quicker than normal.
my car has done what yours has done - no power cuts out and running on 2 cylinders.
i have only had it for 6 months and its been in the garage at least once a month.
i have had so far - new lambda sensor
crankshaft sensor
air mass meter
ECU
2 cam chains
set of tappets
and its still crap so this time im getting it fixed and selling the cnut!

why does the design determine how long the parts wear and tear mate?

If they wear out so quickly then why are they manufactured on the production line?

I think your mechanic is confused
