gasket will be expensive for the same reason everything else on the td engine is expensive. its japanease
cost me £135 for a starter motor, and that was vat free.

Jap aint always expensive, just depends where you go for your parts.
Its a bastard sourcing jap parts though, need some things replacing on my civic because I ran into the back of someone, quoted £890 for the parts from honda, had a shop around and sourced all the same parts for £260.
