mate, they are the same subs!!!
whats the model number referrs to is the resistance of the subs. guessing if you are looking at this kind of sub you know what i`m going on about.......
the 1241D has two 4ohm voice coils, meaning it can be run as either a 2ohm or a 8ohm load
the 1221D has two 2ohm voice coils, meaning it can be run as either a 1ohm or a 4 ohm load

thank you I am looking at getting 2, what would be the best to get, and the best way to wire them/amp choice etc?
As you can tell i don't really know a lot about ICE!!

i would get either 2 x 1241D's and use an MRD-M300 to power each one.
or
2 x 1221D and use either a MRD-M500 or MRD-M1000 depending on your budget.

hmmm..think i will probably go for 2 1221d's with a MRD 500 amp. What power components would i need to match these? Also has anyone got any tips or advice for wiring up? Thanks
