Agreed thats WAAAAY over the odd's. Call breakers yards - they will charge you approx £20-£40 for a complete unit! What exactly is wrong with yours?

okay, theres only a problem when i use the car for a journey then say turn the engine off and go into the shops then come out. Then turn the key and the s/m turns a few times like normal then it seems to stop turning and makes a weird noise then if you hold the key on it bites every now and then! if you know what i mean? (hard to explain really)
i might try and record it if that helpz?
Cheers

sounds like its struggling to turn, could be a faulty solenoid but seriously for how much they cost 2nd hand throw it away and get a new one. Mine conked out after 2years use - it used to stick and grind the flywheel to bollox. The second hand one I bout from the scrappers works perfectly and the car starts quicker and smoother than the original one it came with in 2000

looks or performance? You cant beat 40 allround for handling, 60 all round for looks and 60 front 40 back would be a good compromise and give it a good euro stance.

looks mainly! i thought 60/40 as the front seems higher than the rear standard.
Do you think these kit are any good?
Also does my standard 12v suspension differ to other corsas?

Your 12V suspension should be the same as all the other CorsaB's bar the GSi which has slightly shortend higher poundage springs. If its looks 60mm all round would be best. If you can fork out for coilovers 60mm drop should give you nearly as good a handling as 40mm on regular style dampers/springs.
