OK - I have a 2ltr cavalier SR1 engine in me garage at the mo which im cleaning up to put in me corsa etc etc...
however i have come across a small problem in that the nuts that bolt the outlet maniflod are rusted and ceroded to the point where they are rounded and i cant get them off, also 1 or 2 of the threads are almost non existent! what would you peeps do? i was hoping to take it off to put a new gasket in but this is a problem.

ask on mig web they get this all the time, helicoil is what ya need i think

1. plaster in wd40.
2. leave for about a day.
3. hammer on a smaller socket.
4. nut should screw out, hopefully stud and all, as you'll be fitting new ones anyway.

weld a nut on the end and unscrew it, when you say the thread almost non-exstistant, you mean the stud sticking out yeah?
Although these engine go for 60-30notes, maybe cheaper to buy another one

u can get screws/nuts out with an impact driver
sell them at machine mart

yep a small socket should get the bolts off, re drill the threaded holes and use a helicoil to rethread them, only drill them a couple of mil bigger and for god sake drill them straight.
