got given a brand new audi a4 as a pool car today.
very nice to drive, got bk in mine. wasnt quite used to it, the clutch felt fucking heavy, the pedals and gear change felt notchy and stiff, the brakes felt really crap, nowhere near as responsive as the audi, the steering is really heavy, feels slow as fuck.
time to get a new car me thinks.

I think you are unfairly comparing a vauxhall small cheap car against an audi family expensive car. With the corsa is what you see is what you get.
Doesnt help when you are comparing a 15-20 year old design against a brand new car
But yea if you can afford it go for a new car

wat i meen though, i know im comparing 2 totally different cars, but makes you think, even just getting a newer cheap car is still going to be a million times better.
can get ibizas really cheap nowadays.

Its an unfair comparison but the point still remains, I have recently bought a Civic, 1 year older than my old corsa but everything is so much better, the build quality is miles better, seats are comfier, dash is nicely moulded instead of looking like its been thrown together, the gear changing is smooth, pedals are laid out futher apart, the list could go on.......but they weren't meant to be that good really, just meant to be small and cheap nobody ever bought one for the quality.

For me, I don't care that there are better and cheaper cars.
I love the model of the corsa and I love My car.
What I don't like I change.
E.G. motor,..

i once had loan of a fiesta zetec-s, and a hyundai something-or-other (was a 1.6 16v)...
tbh I prefered the heavy clutch of the corsa & also the lack of power-steering compared to the other cars! Oh, and changing gear in the fez & hyundai was shit, too soft!

PMSL - I prefer our Vivaro to drive than the Corsa
Shiny bull bars on the front, twin exit zorst on the back - everyone gets out of your way

can't really compare a German car to a Vauxhall, german cars are the best imo...
my bro has a brand new astra coupe and it still has the feel of the corsa to it, same quality just more shiny

My Astra drives nicer than the Corsa but the Corsa was a tenth of the price and is far more fun! What do you want?

when i've driven the Vw's at work i find them tacky and so boring to drive. makes me want to fall asleep. they seem to have these brakes bite like anything but don't actually perform when used hard.
Puts me off the so called VW brand. pile of wank imo
