I Work for a bank answering phones and transferrin money and stuff.
Had a guy on today who borrowed £5000 specifically to buy a new corsa sport.
He paid the first payment on his insurance over the phone with his debit card.
Was driving it home from the garage and i guess the excitement was too much for him and he wrote it off. oops.
What he phoned for was cos he got a letter from the insurance company stating that his card was rejected, as they often are for sudden large payments ( for security incase the cards stolen ).
So therefore, no Insurance!!!!!!!!! Now he's gotta pay back £5000 over the next 3 years and will have nuffin to show for it.
Even tho he was a dick to me and i ended up hangin up on him cos he got abusive i still felt really sorry for the poor bastard.
Lesson of the day peeps, assumption is the mother of all Fcuk ups!

Dunno i didnt keep him on the phone long enough to find out, but i'm sure he probably spent a good couple of hours on the phone to the insurance company before deciding to give me shit.
Top tip folks. ALWAYS be nice on the phone. The differance it makes to yourself is surprising, for example i can choose whether or not apply charges on people accounts which can be simple 5er charges for statements or charge reversals which could be any amount. Plus i dont lift a finger to help someone who's rude to me, but i'd work my ass off to help out the decent customers who'v been fuct around no end but are still civil and treat me like a person. For example that guy, if he had of been dead on i would have tried to find out if theres any compensation for that kinda thing happening etc. u never know, there might well be. But since he was a nob i had to hang up on him and send an email round work telling the story and giving everyone a giggle. Muwahahahahaha The curroption!
Manners go along way!

Thats what i thought, but didnt get the time to ask him more about it. If i was in his shoes i woulda phoned and argued with the insurance company for days and days and days first before phoning the bank. So i ASSUME ( against my own advice above ) that he's proper fuct.
Personally i'd take em to court and do everything i could to get the money outta them. or failing that burn them to the ground. lol.
