First we located the radiator drain plug and removed to drain the system
Then we removed the header tank for cleaning
after that we unbolted the thermostat housing from the cylindar head
and removed the thermostat for testing
Then we inserting hose pipe first into the head and then into the radiator the in effect flush the cooling system
Then warren proceded to replace the thermostat housing and this is when the problems start
warren got too rough and snapped the bolt in the head
so wot now
to be continued................

take it he didnt have the bolt running in the thread properly before he started tightening it up - so it sheared off

nope i dont have a die or tap's plus u may nee a slightly bigger bolt
will the old bolt thread in? or has it snapped flush with the surface of the head
if it is flush or close to it you ca do two things 1 score a straight line across it and undo with a screw driver
or deill a hole inside the bolt use a self tapper screw tightem it up solid then undo whats left of the bolt may come out
hope this helps

u can see how much has snapped off if u compare the 2 bolts on that pic. they are long bolts with just a small amount of thread on the end and its the threaded bit that snapped

like adam_d says you need to drill a small hole all the way through then a slightly bigger one. then source a bolt extractor (looks like a drill bit but has a left hand thread on it so as you tighten it in it draws the stud out the thread) screw it in and hopefully it will come out.

find a long one then i have loads of long one. other than that you can completely drill it out and use a helicoil kit. its like a little spring that goes inside and acts like a thread for the bolt to screw in to.

not if you dont have to. if you can get a drill in there its just remove everything around it if need be.
