a brand new golf tdi have, sure my car aint runnin right, had ecu light come on, and it was dead even when i cam up against this tdi today, was a girl driver, i was impressed my kinda gal lol

not sure bout bhp i raced one in my 1600 sport.going away every gear not hundreds but was pulling away a good bit.but whos to say he was takin it to red

this bird definatley was giving it some beans, cos although new she was gettin some good puffs of black smoke at high rpm's, just been looking it up, im sure they only got 115BHP, that better not be right otherwise my car aint right lol

depending on how old the car is, just a blank TDI badge would be 90bhp, but still quite a bit or torque

well thats slightly incorect
sliver tdi is 110bhp
red i is 130
and red di is 150 but...........
some ones with red di are also 130, and some 150s have a red tdi

even the 150bhp TDI golf is 0-60 in about 8.7secs which ain t that fast

Yes, but as jr pointed out there are some 150 bhp models about, the anniversary being one, my mate from Uni had one and it was Quick !!!

U'd have to have at least 140bhp+ in a corsa to beat a golf TDi 150 to 100. Especially from a rolling start, say 40mph+, they are monsters. That 6 speed box helps keep em right in their peak power/torque/turbo range.
Only thing that lets em down is the golfs weight, and the fact that the Derv is gonna have to shifting up alot earlier than a petrol car.

The puffs of black smoke is caused by hard acceleration BEFORE the turbo has kicked in...........meaning the car wasnt even being driven properly.
If u get it right, as you shift up, the revs drop back into the boost range, and so u dont get no smoke.
This is always a good sign that the person driving doesnt really know how to drive.

A UNTUNED 306 TD has the same amount of torque as a c20xe
As it stands, my 306 has more torque than a 306 GTi-6.
Just no where near power wise

right so, is my car underperforming with my spec, or did i get what was to be expected a neck to neck race, im sure its down on power, the flat spot at 4000rpm takes an age to overcome ie. once ya get about 4800 flat spot goes!!!!
