I was excited to see that the Monaro is now on sale, only to then find out that I've got to drive 90 miles to buy one as they're not available anywhere near me. Closest dealer to me is Derby.
And there are no options listed, and no mention of 19s.

Thats alright, you can spend the 90 mile journey home trying to see how fast it'll go, how quick it can corner, and how sideways you can get it

Good point.
I want to just have a go first though. I drove 30 miles last time just to drive one and ended up ordering it without doing so. Don't want to do the same again!

Just out of curiosity, was it Pentagon Vauxhall where you'd have to go?
Can see what you mean though about having to drive that far just to test drive one. even still i suppose its worth it. not liek you'd have to do it often. Drive there for the test drive, if you like it you can buy it there and then. Then go back to collect it. Only other problem is can any Vaux garage fix them? Wouldnt fancy that drive if you need to get stuff done underwarranty, getting it serviced, or even buying parts .

I'm not buying one yet, mine is too new, just want to know if I should start saving now or not. Every car I've owned I've seen other cars and thought 'want one of those' but that doesn't happen in mine so I need to instill it by driving one

don't know if this will help but i saw an advert on hotmail saying save up to £2000 on a new vauxhall when you get a GM credit card. probably a catch somewhere, but it might be useful to someone.

my dealership is the biggest in the country and we aint doing the monaro. managing director says there wont be enough interest and all of the service tools that we would need are too expensive to justify selling them. i think he has made a massive mistake. he said who is goin to spend £28k on a car when you could get a BMW. my response was " gr8 faith in your companys productphil, and i suppose no1 is goin spend £28k on a VX220 either".
we sell VX220 turbos like hotcakes and the monaro will sell big time. the allocated 300 will soon be bought...........
