mines going this way but taking it even further, getting light weight buckets, light alloys, carbon bonnet, lightened brakes and a few other things like perspex windows etc

lose the bonnet altogether! that will save you some weight and increase airflow around the engine bay

Looks good - nice clean looking shell! PLEASE dont drop in "another 2.0" put in a 1600 or 1400 16v and tune it properly. Also how about making a front bumper like my old corsa? See my website for pics and I'll tell you how.
