on a presario 700 compaq laptop jus had to format the whole thing but the pound symbol is now a # when pressed and a few others are different too any idea's were 2 change it?

its set to an americain key board m8 go to control pannel and you can sort it from there

wish i cud i only get options to change drivers and view there model number :S

Have you re-installed Windows yet?

If so it'll definately be in the Control Panel.

Failing that, if you're just using DOS ( ) you can always set it in the autoexec.bat and config.sys
