Got an R reg 1.0 12V at the moment.
However, i can get my hands on a 1.2 16V engine out of an sxi with only 7k on it, for a few beers

Daft question, but will this be a straight swap????
Reason i'm thinking it will be, because the only difference between the engines is the extra cylinder

Should think so mate, but be warned, I've heard of transplants being delayed from these 1.0 engines due to wiring loom differences.

just get the loom and ecu off the donar car, to swap ecu and loom over is only another hours work, easy

Dont have all the loom for this engine though

Think i'll need to have a look at my haynes manual and see if i can spot any differences in them.

Any other input??
