anyway else had this changed the thermostat and also had diagnostic lead plugged in and its nothing to do with ecu my car is a 1.6 16v with air con so im now assuming it is somit on the air con side.
just wondering if anyway has had this problem and solved it

you sure seomone hasnt connected the fan on all the time?
the RAC man did this to mine as a temp solution to get me home - he just taped the wires together so that they were touching making the fan on everytime the ignition was on

does the aircon still work ?
might be aircon pressure sensor or something kicking in the fan.
