My Cat has broken up inside and I was wondering how hard it is to remove it and refit a new one, rather than pay a mechanic to do it if its a simple job, i have looked in my haynes and there is nothing about it in there, i don't know what it looks like or anything.

theres 2 bolts at the manifold downpipe and 1 clamp behine the cat then bash it off

Correct. Use of a plumbers wrench to twist the pipe round where it meets the centre makes it easier too. And don't forget to use lubricant.
