found it in the kitchen, the bathroom and in several other buildings for free. however this bottled form costs money. the more popular ones like vulva cost more but contain the same stuff

We have it down south too - evian, volvic and loads of others.
Some places put a slice of lemon in it - makes it taste really um lemony.
Tastes even better on tap.

I have tried this tap delivered stuff. not keen. apparently the stuff down south is stronger. got more chalk in it

Other tinned drinks do not have this problem - why would water be any different?? Does it have a unique pH level that reacts to the inside of drinks cans??

I suspect the pH of water is not either acid nor basic enough to disolve tin or indeed aluminum
