yea, use a nova sri manifold, its a 4 branch. the nova manifold must be extended using a bit of 'flexi hose' exhaust pipe.

there is not a lot you can do with these engines I put a piper cam in it had a lexmaul manifold air filter and exhaust but it was still slow and drank loads of petrol.
This maybe due to it never being mapped but i then relised to much ££ for a 1.2 so its now becoming a 1.6

the nova exhaust manifold just aids the flow of the exhaust gas', this will result in better throttle response and possibly more power. but as Stu said, not a lot can be done with these engines!got to spend around £1000-£1500 to get it going as well as a standard SRI.

total vauxhall done an article about tuning these engines, ill dig it out!

yesh you can get more power from a 1.2, change bottom end, change top end, change botth manifolds, change ecu, change gearbox, change car.

Yes change all engine parts and you have a 1.6 16v and double the power

double the power of a 1.2 8v = about 90 Bhp, im sure a 1.6 16v is more powerful than that.

yeah a 1.6 is either 109 or 106 bhp. Tuning 1.2's is like pissing money down a drain. Dont do it. you wont notice any gains from whatever you do unless you throw stupid money at it to get it turbo'd. If you want to spend money on it, get it running well first, then concentrate on handling like a go-kart. When total vauxhall tuned their 1.2, they made about 55bhp after spending a good couple of grand on it. It was pumping out a massive 38bhp before though, it was an old engine.
