take the m8 - m73 - m74 - m6 ... then the a66 but look out for cops on the a66 who might be hiding in laybys cos it's a long fast road with one of the steepest hills u wil ever have been on

yes, encountered these cops last year on way back from billing with another corsa.

wee motorbike coppers had just pulled sumone on opposite side of carriageway and the 2 of us flew past doin just over a ton.

bikers had to go up the road a bit before being able to trurn onto our side...by that time we had jumped down a farm road
