What bits are found in and around the fuel tank?
Fuel Tank
Sender unit (what does this do?)
Fuel pump
Is this it?
Are there any electrical bits needed to run the fuel pump? (remember my car is carb at the moment and is being switched to fuel injection)

I take it your going to use an SRi tank? You need to ensure you have a breather/vent to ensure the take doesn't explode doe to the pressure when fuel is pumped !

Fuel relay? Remember my car has'nt got an ECU so is this something else I need?
Tony, it will be a GTE/GSi tank. Should have a vent already?

Yep, it should have a vent/breather
Relay will turn on the fuel pump when you switch the ignition on, if wired correctly !!!!
So you should have one of these

Even the fact that my car is a 1985? Would it be a case of using the existing relay and wiring it into the X16XE's loom?

Yep you should be able to use the existing loom for the fuel pump, happy to help if you need it !!
The doner car would have the fuel pump connected into the ECU so that it is aware all the components are working in order for the car to start, however the fuel pump relay will wire into the ignition and the fuse box. It's simple !!!

The inside is all finnished on my car and all put back together, I've got some sound deadening that I need to put on the roof to to tidy it up and need a roll cage.
Got a Nova GSi steering wheel waiting to go on, but I can't get the old cunt off
