As above on corsa b, do i need to drill holes in the bonnet hinges or wings?

ive looked at the instructions but the lifters are 2 short to do what it says on the instructions

no drilling required, they will fit, u take a screw out of the wing and one out the top of the bonnet

this is what i thought mate but the ones ive got a far too short for this, unless the bonnet is only supposed to open so far, got any pics of any?
