Hi,
I'm hoping someone will be able to give me an idea of what the problem could be....
Whilst driving and changing from third into second, sometimes its really hard to change, and have to really force it. Most of the time its ok though.
The other thing is, sometimes when changing into reverse, the gears grind really really bad.
I did think it could be the clutch, but thought that surely these problems would be the case changing into all gears.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
James

^ it doesnt if you hold the clutch down 3secs before changing.
Sounds like either your clutch needs adjusting or its worn out. Is their a quiet grinding noise like whuuring when you hold the clutch down?

I cant hear any whurring noise, infact when i hold the clutch down theres no different noise at all.
Strange thing is that it doesnt do it all the time. It seems to be when its warmed up a bit. I just jumped in it then, and there were no problems at all with any of the gears. Yet another day it will be a nightmare.

The 3rd to 2nd thing seems to be a Vauxhall thing - the Corsa B at work does it, my brand new Corsa C does it, and the Astra G I had before the Corsa also did it.
I suggest you just eat some Weetabix before driving.
