My 1.0 12V corsa B doesnt go into reverse. Simple as
The car drives fine, and engages all other gears with ease........ but doesnt reverse.
If i remove the gear gaitor, it looks as if it is going into reverse (with a bit of force) however it is still 1st gear
Recently changed engines, however the gearbox remained in place.
So, the gear linkage is therefore not the problem ( i have tried it anyway!!!).
Any suggestions??
Been driving about for about a week odd now without reverse
Carefull parking

Try removing the pin where the gearbox linkage ends (on top of the gearbox under the batter). See if you can get it into reverse by sticking a screwdriver in it, and jiggling it about. far clockwise, and towards you I think (looking from the front).
