i bought an mp3 player on ebay and the parcel arrived today this morning

BUT.....

that wasnt the only parcle that arrived. the guy that i bought it from has also sent me a brand new hi fi system and i didnt even order that i only ordered the mp3 player from him. i think he made a mistake coz he has so many transactions to go thru and he must have pit my address on the hi fi system when it was meant to be for someone else

wot do u think i shud do???
shall in send it back to him or shall i keep it and sell it off?
if i do send it back then ill have to pay for the postage costs coz the box weighs around 25kg

but its brand new hi fi system worth at least £500 and i had to sign for it

but wot if he checks his records and sees that he has sent out a hi fi to me which i havent even paid for coz obvioulsy the person it was ment to go to must have emailed him and asking him where his hi fi has gone and he wud be syain to him that he has sent it wen it fact it has been sent to me

i think i mite give it a couple of weeks, if i get no reply then ill keep it.

If you had to sign for it, then he will be able to track where it went and he will contact you soon enough.

You may aswell make the first move and contact him about it. Tell him he will have to send you some money to cover postage though. He may stick an extra 10er in for you for being so honest and helpful.

by law if he hasn't asked for it back in 6 months it's yours.....But if he knows he sent it to you and ask for it back you are obliged to give it back..

But he may not have a record of who he sent it to and then your quids in...
