I have just got my drums and claipers surround back from Kelvin @ http://www.minichrome.co.uk
They look so good, i am waiting for the actual caliper to come back as i have got 2 find out how to seal it b4 plating.
Here are the pics when i took them off the car.
Here are them now
Comments welcome.

i wouldn't have the drums chromed, as they will stand out!!! which is bad!!
Calipers should look good tho!!
Also looks like a good job!

The rear drums where £70 to polish and then had to be coppered, nickeled then chromed, so the drums where £120 and then the calipers where £120 as well. They are going to look sooo good when they are on the car, when it finally comes out of the bodyshop!

that looks awesome.
shame it's so expensive.
you could of got them to a better finish yourself though before sending them away to save on the polishing cost couldn't you?

As the drums are castings, they needed over an hour on the polishing machine to get a smooth finish, so it was better to have them do it

Replied to your u2u mate.
I looked into this at the beginnig of the year and still want them doing.
It was a bit of a problem for me having the car off the road for 2 weeks cause I would have had to send them off to be done.
If I can fit it in between shows then I'll defo be getting front and rear calipers doing.
They look sweet mate.
Let me know how you go on with them.

I dont think they'd be too bad to clean, a bit of Chrome clean and a good cloth will get them clean in no time. I think water marks will be a pain in the arse, but as above, one wipe clean and your sorted. The fact that they're smooth means less dirt will collect on them.
Looks great!

why o why didnt you buy new drums, and send them?
they hardly cost alot new, and would have saved a hell of alot of time on the polishing machine

Yeah was thinking this, cos drums don't last forever unlike the calipers... £20 each drum new

the polishing wasn't to get them clean, it's to give them a smooth finish.
they could have been plated i'm sure with just a rub down, but it would look crap with the rough cast finnish even from new drums.

IMHO i would have spent 50 quid on getting rear disks put on first and sending 2 sets of calipers away
