pressure washing ur engine bay is possibly the stupidist thing u can do
Proffessionals clean engine bays using steam cleaners which are far safer at cleaning crap off engines without trashing anything sensitive, and trust me pressure washing ur engine if ur not careful is gonna cause something to die!

i was told by a guy who does car valeting that if u jet wash and u wash over a seal then u can get water inside where it aint meant to be and can cause problems
best just to cover the whole bay in gunk and then wash it off with just a hose i think
