I have a trojan on my pc, norton picked it up, it is called an Irc trojan
c:\WINDOWS\system32\f0r0r\redroses
is what it says its found.
I have been on the symantec website and followed what they said to do, but i still have it, does anyone know how to remove it??
I am desperate to get rid!!

usually the virus detecter picks it up, and then contains the virus to stop it spreading, from there you should be able to discard/delete the virus!

GGGRR still cant get rid of it, when i do a full system scan on norton it is saying there is nothing there so i cant delete the infected files. However norton keeps comin up with a pop up box sayin Irc trojan, but i just cant seem to get rid of it.
SOMEONE PLS HELP this is doin my head in!!

go and find the file and just delete it

boot the pc up into safe mode then run norton, has worked for me in the past when trying to get rid of trojans and virus's

not sure if this will work
type regedit in file search on the start menu
click that click hkey local machine
then software
then microsoft
then windows
then current version
then run and at the side ull c loadsa shit n u shud c it if not they mite b another run underneath the 1st run press that mite be at the side on that 1 then just delete the address of the virus
should work

tried this james, and i couldnt find any infected files, this is really annoyin me, does it mean that someone is lookin at all my personal details?

restart windows in DOS mode and and type format c: and then hit enter- will solve all your comp probs
