Ones i have seen have another bit of wood that goes across the wooden floor and skirting board.
I was gonna do mine but can't be arsed Think i'll just get a new carpet

u just buy some edgin shit n pin it to skirts, what i did, looks

we ripped the skirting off and replaced it with plastic skirting, this way you never have to gloss the skirting again

nah just take your time and make sure your measurments are spot on! and try to keep the flooting in line so u don't have wonky lines

leave a gap between the boards and the skirting that u cover with the edging to give the boards room to expand

i layed my own laminate flooring in my room coz no other fucker in my family wud do it, it was all stuck in the shed for bout 3 months n i got bored 1 day, quite easy too, done in no time

As said before, leave a few mm around the edge of the room for expansion, and also, keep the flooring stacked in the room for a day or two before laying as it acclimatises to the environment. Means its less likely to warp/bend etc.
