Why wait till prices rise before protesting? So you're happy with what you pay now??

ross, its all relative. OPEC price barrels of oil according to availability and demand globally. It aint going to make an ounce of difference that we get oil from the north sea, since its probably controlled by OPEC. Besides, north sea oil production os tiny compared to the middle east and USA. People are moaning about pterol prices being so high, but the fact is, without the high fuel taxes, public services like NHS, Emergency services would become obsolete in a matter of months because the funding would not be there. Our roads would be in even more of a state because no one could afford to repair them Just be lucky that things arent as bad as they were in other oil crises. In comparison, previous oil crises have seen barrel prices rise to over $80 per barrel in todays equivalent terms. That would mean you would be paying over £1.50 a litre!! consider yourselves lucky its not going to get that bad!!

also, OPEC were scaling up oil production in Saudi Arabia, but since the attacks, im thinking this is not gonna help things one bit.
If im honest, i blame our government for relying too heavily on fuel/cigarettes for taxes.
