My petrol gauge fluctuates a lot whilst driving, one minute I have half a tank the next it drops to quarter of a tank..so when it gets in to red I'm thinking " do i have that much in there or is there more/less!? "
Can any1 explain this or is there any way of fixing it?!

how quickly does it fluctuate? Like within a second or two, or you notice it goes down very quickly when you are booting it, but goes back up when you give it a rest?

varies (I think) somethimes I watch it at idle and its going up n down ever-so-slightly but when i'm going along (not booting it...much) it will go down sometimes and others stays around the same mark.. I am confuzzled
