Bumper isnt fitted properly, before people say thats a crap fit

How much would a full respray be in arden blue ? Ive got a dent in my front wing and some key scratches down the side, full respray car shell, front back bumpers side skirts and spoiler?

Why do you want a full respray?

Just paint the bits that need doing and the bumper again the right colour?

Did you use cans or something? Its harder to get a colour match with metallic paints too.

only reason its a bad match is cos there is probably several different shades of paint.

There aren't any variations to Arden blue, it might be that the rest of your bodywork needs a machine polish with rubbing compound, followed by a hand glaze to finish it.

its not too bad. Instead of a full respray I'd get a dustover...just to renew the rest of the body. Its because the bumper's paint is brand new and lacquered and the rest of the car has had that paint on for years. Get a dustover in Arden blue..should cost £600-£700

just called vauxhall and theres deffo only one shade of arden blue paint code 291

____________________________________________update______________________________________________

Vauxhall are wrong ! wankers and they made these colours ! There are two shades of arden blue paint 192 and 192L (L meaning light) i called vauxhall and they said 192 so i ordered 192 and this was the darker shade. bastard........ive painted my front & back bumpers + arches and spoiler with the wrong shade paint...........

gonna have fun rubbing it all down to start all over again

Try getting the same colour paint from a different paint supplier. I've had crap colour matches from certain suppliers, i've gone elsewhere and its been alot better

They've got an offer on at the moment..

Something like £3.99 per 300ml and you get a 3rd can free if you buy two.

800ish mate id charge. colour match can be altered by the colour fade of the car and by the primers you use what thickness of paint also im guessin you used cellulose which can come out a diff shade.

i use autopaint products cheap and cheerful but generally a decent consisteny and match bout a tenner a litre ish

drysdale.......

do you mean halford rattle cans are a good match or their 1ltr tins?

No way i would even think about attempting bumpers with rattle cans!

p.s yourarden blue colour match looks spot on? what paint did you use? or did you get it done professionaly?

Halfords can mix paint, but its still Cellulose. Go to your local Autopaint international, they will sort you out, try and put the base coat on thicker mate to make the metallic look less course

oh, you dont have too rub it all down again.
you need too use a grey scotch pad and go over and make it all dull, then just spray basecoat then laquer, no need to do any sanding or priming again!!!
