standard disk...you mean CD, floppy what?
eitherway, get yourself cooledit or goldwave or another decent wave editor...load it up, chop of the ending and save it again

you could have just overburned that sas it would have come up with saying that its too long etc but still burn the CD and it would have worked Most CDs have about a minute or 2 extra than what they say...although it differs between CDs.

cant you just use something like nero & overburn the disc by 3 seconds

burn the CD as normal, if your using nero or something it will just come up complaining about it being too long, but still burn the cd

nero is the easiest way forward, as i know XP throws fits when it "believes" that it cant burn stuff
have a butchers on special k or something similar and im sure you can get hold of a copy of nero
