What sort of increase in insurance does fitting a C20XE carry, eg Before and after? Cheers

Its like going from a 1.2 or 1.4 whatever you HAD to the car the engines from - ie lit'd be like getting insured on a Cav or Calibra, plus a little more probably for the fact you've changed the engine - not an attractive feature to an insurance company!

19, 1 years NCD, fully comp. Was paying £1040 on 1.4 SRi now paying £2,000 on 2.0 16v, all mods declared with adrian flux.

1 st yr driving payed £2000 on a 1.2 16v. 2nd yr i now pay £1050ish on a 2l 16v

basr car for mine was a 1.4 flair.

i got a quote afew days ago on my sxi again + they wanted £1500

4yrs ncd. Agreed valuation.Limited mileage. Was £350 for GSi all mods declared. Gone up by £85 with 2ltr

It all depends on what car the engine is out of, mine was out of a cavvy GSI hence group 15.

i think each case is different as variables change like NCB, post code, millage, where its stored over night, how long u had your licence..convictions etc, so best to ring and see what you can get

if ya 18(in july) in ur fist year of driving doi i have a chance with a 2lt? or should i be looking at a 1.6
i already have a 1.4 but it has some problem that no-body seems to have heard of be4? looking to change the engine as i carnt afford a new car
