hasnt that second (bottom pic) corsa been wrote off now ?
I would go for the half smooth, looks miles better than a totally smoothed boot

yesh and he has the light above the number plate 
but option two, looks good although get the recess to be slightly smaller, so it has a snug fit with the plate (still has an edge, just not a huge one like option 2)

Leave the recess as it is, the lines break the boot up nicely.
Everyone's smoothing the boot, and it looks bad anyway.
