V6 brakes will be fine.
If you want better than that, then start looking at 4-pots.
Reyland have got a cheap kit for sale at the moment - as fitted to some of the MGs IIRC.
Hi Spec are good, but be prepared for a wait as they can't turn orders around fast enough.

Streetline kit is a budget kit with a Bilstein sticker.
Sprintline is the proper Bilstein kit but Terra springs are supposed to be shite.
I've found the handling to be great on my Sprintlines, but the ride quality is terrible - tis rock solid.

You can get the whole setup for £50 apparently, but I still wouldn't bother.

Just the next poundage springs on the list. Really shouldn't need them on a 1.4 as they're normally enough for a C20XE!!!
How do you mean the current ones are soft? Do you find the car wallowy in corners?
The Highsports are super-comfy compared to normal suspension kits, so you might just not be used to them - handling should be peachy though.

handling is good, the problem i have is with rubbing over speed bumps etc.. as the suspension moves a lot over them, causing it to rub, and also a lot of scrubbage round bends...
I was hoping stiffer springs might solve this?
