Only special tools you may need are star drive socket set and torx screw set, less than a tenner each. You need a good socket set and breaker bar, torque wrench.
Just get yourself a haynes manual it explains it all in detail.

I would look for any Autoparts shop, ask if they do head gasket kits for your car. Its basically gasket and bolts the most important ones.

www.autovaux.co.uk i called them today for a few prices.
pretty helpfull, took down my list of parts then callled back after a couple of hours with the prices.
didn't come out as cheap as i was expecting though.
cafco in bvourne end came out cheaper for most of the bits.

Its only about 13 bolts i think
Please remember, when you are about to put the head back on, make sure you put the gasket on the right way - says in the haynes. Also, make sure theres no oil or water in the bolt holes in the block before you screw the new bolts in.

should be ok if your flogging it anyway.
i think you're supposed to do it anytime you take one off.
probably just as a precaution though.
