Im buying a set of shocks and springs , which have been used . There is some surface rust on the shocks , and I'm just wondering how it can be removed , and if I can get the shocks looking like new again (I know they will get all sorts of shit on them anyway , but want it to look at least ok ) .
Im told I just need to rub it all down , with a wire brush , or sandpaper then spray it with a rattle can ?
Is this the best way to do it ? Any of you done it before ?

hammerite just dont get any on the piston
and youll be fine

Do I need to put some sort of rust protector on them ?
Or would the hammerite do that job anyway?

Just a quick question - The springs Im getting with the kit are for a nova , so it will sit the corsa quite a bit lower than 60mm . Would I be able to simply sell the springs , and buy another set designed for corsas ?

yes you can sell the springs on there own and get a set of corsa spings
they will fit unless its a special kit but you can mix different shocks and spring kits so yes

well its a g-maxx kit which i would be buying g-maxx springs for so that should be fine?
I could stick with the nova springs but that would just cause me hassle .
