I keep hearing good and bad stuff about sony equipment!!! Just want to get to know is it any good or would i be wasting my money??????

what sort of sony are we talkin about? xploop? personally i wouldnt give any of that a nodd in the desert.
It's a shame that their car audio has built up such a shit reputation because everything else they make (hi-fi's, walkmans) are awesome.
Alpine, Soundstream, Genesis, Focal...all these & many more make Sony look cheap.
Their Xplod gear just doesn't look feel or sound anywhere near on par.

head units are v good, thats about it, wouldn't touch anything else. Its a shame because other than car audio there stuff is shit hot.

yeah i know all the other stuff they do is good! I have laptop, dvd player, pda, walkman and hifi! just hoped the in-car stuff was going to be as good!

yeah, it is a shame mate...its almost bizzar!!
well like andy sed, their head units are good...but nuffin else is really worth investing ur time & money in. but u look at other headunits, alpine, jvc, they look & sound much nicer.
its ur call but u've heard our verdict.

i have a 222w sony xplod amp powering one of my subs nd i think it dus the job well. it was cheap and doesnt get hot when it gets a hammering like some other amps ive had. Ive also got 2x 12" 900w sony xplod subs and they r loud as fuck! (even without an amp) just brought a 1400w amp 2 power them so they should be louder!

Those sony amps are shite, as r the speakers. Compare them to a decent sub and amp combo and u will see wat i mean.
Hoever they are cheap, and if u are on a small budget then they will do the job, as with everything if u want good stuff u have to pay for it.
