Yes, fit 1.6 16v or fit 1.6 8v out of GSi/GTE.

1.6 8v GSi easy to do, you have MPi injection already so no need to change tanks etc.

You could spend the same money on tuning a 1.4 8v to around 90bhp as it would cost for a 2.0 16v conversion!

true!

depends if you want loads of power by just doing a conversion or wether you want the challange of squeezing lots of power out of the 1.4

wel ok then ins is the main problem at the mo. i want tuning mods but dont wanna let the ins company know! just incase i have a crash i want the mods to be in the engine hidden so they cant void me ins

well i had full zorst system 4-2-1 manafold, cat replacer, Strut brace, uprated brakes, piper cam on my old SRi and that was a laugh to drive till i crashed it cos a dosey bint !!!

any way insurance didn't know but i was lucky that they paid out

I have a piper cam that would suit your engine done 15k miles and if you collect you can have the cylinder head (55k miles) all for £60

that's a good deal !!!

Cam works good with the car too.

Would recomment getting a uni chip and full zorst system from manafold tho !
