Anyone still playing it?

Used to play Counter Strike and Team Fortress heaps on the good ol' 56k

Planning on playing again but lost my Half-life CD.

Noticed Counterstrike is now available to buy, but there is all so Counter Strike - Condition Zero

Which to buy?

Half Life Generations - its all the Half Life games in one box set, cost me £20

Condition Zero is a new game all together i think.

Used to play CS and mainly Team fortress quite regularly, was in a online team etc. Gave up when i went to uni as i had no time to play anymore.
Stopped playing counterstrike when it got to version 1.1 onwards, the old beta versions were much more fun and servers were less full of idiots.

Also got bored of playing on 56k as its such a bloody disadvantage. Was considering going to a local LAN cafe for a game soon though, its been a while

never played counterstrike but been playing online games for a few years.

i went from

quake 3
unreal tournament
medal of honour
call of duty

been playing call of duty solid since christmas and made my way through various clans etc. we were 18th in the UK at one point!

I love Half-Life so many hours of fun! and easily the best £30 i have ever spent considering im still having fun with it 4 years on!

Team Fortress and Counter-Strike are wot i play now, wouldnt mind trying call of duty peeps rave about it so i suppose i shud make the change!

I used to play Halflife year ago
was in the world ranking aswell(top 5 56k players and top 50 any connection), lost my job over it aswell

a lad who owns M-Accessoriers (Vauxhall parts think his username on here was Badboy or Munch) and he was ranked number 2

i used to play for 13hours a day

i remember 2p a min on wireplay and getting phone bills for 1k plus

may have to dig it out and play it for old times

used to sleep all day and play in the night as the US player where alot better then the UK one, hence reason why i lost my job

Way I had it before, you had to install half-life then keep downloading the new CS add-ons.

My English Teacher was on of the main script writers and programmers on the original half life.
He is proper loaded. he still receives royalties from the original game. Il tell him you all like his masterpeice

cs-cz is shite...

realy would stay away its nothing what u exspect...

however, the steam CS is much better, however it aimed at b/band players more cos of the massive updates!

counter-strike is mint as

play it in my spare time or when im bored, mostly on UK servers (for the pings, 15ms etc)

but recently got the Joint Operations Typhoon demo and been playing that abit and HitMan 2 on the good'old xbox

i only play Soldier of Fortune 2, best ever multiplayer FPS available imo.

Dont like CS too many people hacking /cheating, and graphics are abit tiresome.

if you want advice, do not buy the CS version, take some time to download it from www.counter-strike.net

reason: onthe retail ones the guns are called stupid names.. the downloadable one is all orrect (due to copyright)

in my opinion it spoils the game..

as for MP games. i like to play
