Always best to get a quote of the insurance company on teh behicle your going to see - purely for this reason - i did this and just phoned up and started my policy so i cud drive home

no you shouldnt .. if you have an accident u put everyone elses premiums up..

are you not FC, to drive another car Third party, this would have been my excuse if i got pulled over as technically tho u have brought the car its not yours as the owner details on that day will be registered with the seller.. so claim he is a mate

FC covers you to drive another vegicle NOT OWNED by you. This stops you running 2 cars on one policy and depriving the insurance company of their rightful income. So, if you buy the car, you ARE the owner and are not covered by your FC insurance (unless you sell you other car first)

i always ring em before i drive car home- perfect example when i bought corsa, i crashed on way home, if i hadnt been insured id have been fcuked
