right, a rev limiter stops the engine from revving high thus stopping damage right?
so, a chipped car has a higher rev limit that it can go to but its still stopping it revving it too high so saving it from damage.
so a std car could safely rev to its limit and it wont do any damage? because its restricted to a very safe limit. am i right?

I hope so, because mine has hit the limiter a few times recently.

only thing being - on a standard car, once ya get near the limitter, u are loosing power, so its better to change gear, whereas a modded car is still producing power
if that makes sense
