Yes, press number 9 and talk to a customer service provider in India who cannot speak English and cannot help you in any way, shape or form.

Ive not got my local branch number, Ive changed my account to LloydsTSB now, uch better an internet banking long as i go on 3times everything 3 months or sumant i get 3.3%

I use HSBC internet banking much as I can, but things like Loan settlement etc cant b done online so have to phone and they jus say, ok please hold and then come bak and u say somant else they say ok please hold

3.3% interest wen u go online and upgrade to classic plus account (i think )

i use Yorkshire Bank, cant fault their online banking......Natwest's service is good too.

Worst place to try and ring is Vauxhall on the 0870 number given for sheffield branches, no-one at all can even speak anythin like english

My mum works for HSBC and is always interested to find oiut people's problems to what they can do to make improvements, ill show her this thread.

The customer care department is good in Lloyds TSB (cos I work there ) but the contact centres transfer calls to india.... some of them cant speak english at all.... very bad, we have complaints all the time.

net banking is top as well with them.

Barclays speak perfect English but still don't generally do anything more useful than say no. Give me the branch any day.

my boyfriend used to bank with natwest then he switched to lloyds (for obvious reasons) but he says ltsb is much better than natwest online, mostly because everything is done realtime, so if you transfer money its done straight away and you can see it straight away

Natwest their the answer, internet banking with them has always been very painless, and if u need to speak to them they are still using call centres in the UK!

What part of the bank do you work in? MY mum is an area sales manager, been with them for 33 years and found out last week she might be made redundant cos they are cutting out some of the management. Going for voluntary retirement though i think cos shes had enough anyway!
