Can anyone tell me the different grades of sand paper? wet and dry paper which I should use to remove the paint/laquer to be able to respray the front bumper.

Also is it possible to buy a tint to mix with paint so that the newly painted bumper will not look newer than a six year old cars bodywork.

Thanks

dont rub the paint off, go over the whole painted part with a scotch brite to remove the shine, then its ready for primer if there is stone chips, if not then you can spray colour straight on.

800 wet/dry over any scratches to get them out.

Scotchbright the rest.

If u break thru the paint to plastic then u'll need to primer that area, then fla that off.

I do this everyday at work!

washing up pads? really.....
i used 180 grit to take most of the bumpy effect out the plastic,
then moved up to 800 to smooth off a little.

Couple of coats of primer. 1200 wet to smooth
then wash and paint
