Since joining this site and reading the forums ive noticed a few people mentioning things like:
1)police cant issue u a ticket if theres something wrong on there car like a light out.
2)they have to wear a hat to issue a ticket.
3)unmarked police cars cant pull u over
e.t.c.
I imagine there will be more like these that would be handy 2know!
so if u know ones that aren't bulls**t, please post em

The problem is, yes, you can dispute these sort of things. But your wasting your money. You would have to get a solicitor, take it to court and win. This is expensive. So, I think people are better off accepting the fact that they broke the law and should stop being moaning little bitches.

1) This is true, they cannot do anything to you at all because of the fact that their car is not road worthy so should not be on the road. The thing is though if you were doing something serious enough i would like to see you try and worm out of it.
2) They dont have to wear a hat to issue a ticket, they have to be in uniform, the old idea of them having to wear a hat no longer stands.
3) Unmarked cars can and will pull you over if they feel the need to do so. I have been pulled by 2 unmarked cars now.......I am sure they wouldnt do it if they couldn't.

unmarked can charge you with omething IF you stop...
but by law you don't have to stop for them, only marked cars can properly stop you.
you can't always guarentee that an unmarked is actually a police car, it could just be psycho with a strobe fitted wanting to kill someone..

apparently and i stress the apparently
there is still a written law that if you fail to pay a certain fine you can choose to be stoned to death if you cant afford it, apparently the law still stands and a bloke last year chose the stoning option, obviouslt due to human rights this isnt possible anymore , so he got away with his fine....
nice research

standing on something other than a stool or just on the floor is ok tho

thats bull shit, if you dont stop they will charge you with failing to stop.
but how do you know there actually police officers???
it could be me driving an omega which I fitted a few strobes to the front with to make it look like an unmarked car - you pull over, I kill you...
hence why law says only marked cars can actually STOP you on the side of the road

Tis bollocks, defeats the object of having unmarked cars in the first place.

People dont seem to be able to understand the differenc ebetween them being able to stop you, and you not having to stop.
If they start following you and you decide not to stop, they'll simply follow you untill you do stop, or get a marked car to do it. you may aswell just pull over if they do try and pull you, they'll only scrutinise your driving if you dont, and you'll be on camera so you cant deny it! .

Its pointless pretending you don't have to pull over for an unmarked car and trying to ignore it because before you know it 5 of his friends will turn up with stingers and sort you out properly.
