recently my pc blew up to overheating so i got it fixed an got a new fan off ebay. i moved the standard one to the back and mounted the new one in the side. but im not sure if ive got hte airflow right, ive made a pic:

cool air get sucked in through the back
runs over GFX card heatsink
leaves out the side fan which is sucking from inside the case
power supply is also suckin air out the case
and the CPU fan is directly infront of the side LED fan, so blowing through that.

is this set up right?

this is my new LED fan

I have fans at the front (infront of the HD cage) sucking air in, and fans at the back pushing the air out, a very nice air flow if you ask me.

The only way you will find out that your new setup is working is by going back to your old setup, run something thats going to cain the CPU/GPU and record the temps after 10 mins/30 mins/60 mins, then switch back to your new setup, and do it over again for the same period of time.

Then see if its actually made a difference.

personally I wouldnt have the back fan pushing air in. Lots of dust and wanked up shit hides behind ye desk.

Also sort out your bloody cables for gods sake, that can fuck the airflow a gooden.

You should have a decent air flow in your PC,

Fans low and at the front should suck in air, then fans ontop to push hot air out,

you need to remember hot air rises,

Youve done it wrong mate.

You need air coming in at the front. IE where all the bays are, Then correct on the side panel. Then you need the back one drawing air out. Then cut a hole in the top like and exhaust fan. This creates negative air pressure in the case

wel there isnt much dust behind my deck because its right by a window, thats y i had it sucking it in. my cables are tidy goddamit!!!!!!!

i have no room at the front of my case to put fans in!! so ur saying, change the side one round to suck air in, and the 1 at the back to blow out?

yes the side fan should defently be sucking in,

you sure there aint room at the front at the bottom for a fan,

not even a 80mm

m8 u could do with buying a shite load of cable tie's and tidying it up first - first rule of cooling - air has to be able to flow not move through a mass of wire's, cable tie all the cable's up really neat, and you could probs do away with half the fans in tht bloody fing

take a pic of it,

im 100% sure that block of plastic will unclip,

then u sit the fan in there, then just clip it back in

No it bloody shouldnt. it wants to be drawing out because its directly over GP/CP U. The biggest heat producers

make room at the front, cut a big fucking chunk out.

1fan at front pulling air in,

1fan at back pushing air out

thats it,

and never hits more that 50 degrees

Firstly, tidy up all those cables as the air needs a little room to move around.

The cold air you are blowing onto the GPU and CPU is no good as it will just become warm. You want that black fan and nice coloured fan both blowing the air out. That is how i have got mine and stays cool. If i put my hand over the air vents on the side and front of my case i can feel cool air getting sucked in

Also, if i feel the sides around the case it is nice and cool.

My system stays at 28 degrees

jus do wot i did, i got 13 fans in my pc (including cpu and psu) just have one for everything then u have no problem at all

Right the reason i have mine blowing in is simple,

in my case, i found it to be more effective sucking air in onto the CPU and GPU then blowing out,

I know this as i have run benchmarks, when i have had it sucking and also blowing,

both my CPU, GPU and case temps were lower when i have the side fan SUCKING IN.

This might not be correct for everyone, however with my setup its best,

heres the pics

Firstly, TIDY

2 80mm Fans at front sucking cold air IN over the HDD's

2 80mm Fans at the very back above the PSU and 2 92mm mounted into the roof all 4 blowing out

Then you have the side fan,
