was wondering whether the JBL gto subs are any good, cos they are rather cheap..£30 for 10" im not a fanatic bout ice, just want some bass...or shall i go for an apline type r sub and m301 amp?

JBL make some nices subs for the money they charge, cant go wrong if your on a budget or not mad about ICE

that sub is not too bad considering its cost, just DONT get SPLX amps or 6x9's if you are having the sub(s) in the boot.

I have got a 12" JBL GTO sub running off a JBL GTO 400 amp. For the money these subs and amps are good.
splx are really crap!

yes chris its the same sub but the GTO amp, £130 for a package compared to a type R package with digital M301 amp at £300, i was wondering if these subs are anygood...

will sound different to a degree, alpine subs are quite 'musical' where a lot of other makes are very deep but not nice sounding.

if you dont want to spend to muvh then its worth it.
Depends on your budget an how good you want it to be. If your not massively woried and want some bas the jbl's will be fine.

The amp is a JBL GTO-2000
400 Watts Max Output
2 x 75 Watts RMS @ 4 OHMs
2 x 110 Watts RMS @ 2 OHMs
1 x 220 Watts RMS @ 4 OHMs Bridged
And the sub is a JBL GTO-12
Subwoofer, 1800 Watts Peak, 225 Watts RMS, Frequency Response 32-3kHz, Sensitivity 89dB,
