Was parked infront of my mates car up this road, mine facing down the road, his facing up having just fixed a water leak on mine. About to put tools etc. back into car and stopped infront of the car cos was a moped coming up the road, next thing I know, WHACK. They've gone into ma car, and air pissing out the tyre She stopped further up the road, claiming it was my fault as i was on wrong side of road and didnt have lights on. As it was, she didnt see my lights cos i was infront of the car.
Damage: She has a cracked footrest panel bit, estimate of £150 by her Dad.
I have a buckled wheel and knackered tyre, estimate of £270, £150 for wheel and £120 for tyre.
NOT a happy Corb.

you can park fully across the road, (blocking the full road off) and as long as ur car is stationary, its the other person fault

You only need to be parked the right way round at night, with lights on if the speed limit is greater than 30.
She is in the wrong for striking a stationary car. If it was light, she's very much in the wrong.
Cast your mince pies over 222 and 223, and make sure you were OK for all of 217.

ian, was about 9pm, was still light, sidelight territory, maybe headlights, cant really remember. but everyone seems to think it was her fault as my car wasnt moving and was unattended at the time. thats how my insurance company worded it.

I have to say, its looking better for you than her, you'd just have to hope it doesn't make court.

well saying that - if you happen to walk into a stationary car which is parked on the pavement, you can sue the owner
