heres a pic of the front of my car

obviously theres no grill so not alot of air getting to the radiator when moving, got standard corsa rad and fan in, standard thermostat (new).
it runs at almost 100 degrees when driving round town stopping starting etc but on the motorways at higher speeds it gets hotter quite quickly, the fan is on constantly too.
it dont overheat as such as ive done bout 200 miles on a motorway and it was fine but just running at over 100 degrees which im sure will damage it after a while.
just wondering has anyone else got this prob with the same bumper as mine, obvious answer would be to cut hole in grill or change bumpers but just seeing if theres anything else like different rad or somethin b4 i do that.
Cheers, Chris
ps, part from this prob its the best mod i ever done

thermostat is brand new recently so shud be fine, it runs cooler sat still at the lights for example. im guessin it is the bumper as even when i had a 1.2 in there it made it run hotter but the xe is even worse.
i did the f50 vent cus i thought it mite help but that didnt do much!

run the car on demineralised water this should get you down a few degrees as it removes more heat due to being pure water and contains no minerals

as said check for me air locks
take thermostat out so water flow isent restricted and can get around quicker.
buy after market multi blade fan ( about £80 but well worth it) and fit it on a switch

On my car my front bumper doesn't let a lot of air through either (shit pic but hey!):

And even with small vents on the bonnet and wings my engine still got too hot for my liking...
Anyways, with my new engine being fitted (still a C20XE btw) I also needed new oil cooler pipes as the old ones were leaking like a bastid, and Aylesbury Vauxhall also fitted me a new thermostat too. Since then my oil temperature has been "normal".

no, dead easy to fit tho. The big hose nearest to the timing gear is at the bottom on the diesel rad as apposed to the top, so you just need to buy or make a rad pipe for there.
