My naca duct vent is peeling it's paint, prob due to stone chipping anyway should I get the standard one resprayed silver and cover it in film OR buy one of the carbon ones (in black) listed below (£90ish delivered) bearing in mind I might get the carbon top blade for my spoiler so it will match that but might look weird against silver paint

heres what front of car looks like, try to pitcure that little carbon vent on bonnet

opinions plz

yeah subtle touch, but will it look odd against the silver? don't really want the carbon rally mirrors ya see - will cost more than spraying standard one but least it won't chip hmm

thats the spoiler blade

Does it matter what it looks like?
If there are benefits to it being carbon, buy it.

Exactly, the standard one keeps getting chipped and ruins the car IMO really annoying Point was to stop the chipping, spoiler blade looks cool and save couple of kg's obviously the air vent won't save weight but it shouldn't chip/peel

So is the rest of your bonnet getting stonechipped then? Is carbon resistant to scratches, chipping etc??

Rest of the bonnet is fine, the vent is thin plastic and looks like a plastic sheeting has been put over it and sprayed hence it peeling off. Looks like it would be prone to chipping anyway if it's resprayed on the plastic so just thought it's easier to get new vent. Not sure if carbon is resistant to chipping but given it's strength I'd say it would hold up better than the original vent?

won;t be cheap to get original vent sprayed cause they still have to mix paint etc so seems silly paying to get such a little bit done? might just get the carbon one
